Running courses by Running Holland
Running Holland started in 1998.
Nowadays we run training sessions all over the Netherlands. We specialize in preparing groups, companies and individual runners for running events.
particular running groups in Amsterdam
In the winter we train in the Amsterdam Vondelpark and kick-off from the fitness centre “Overtoom 371”. Runners of all levels and ages are welcome to come and train with us. We offer a free try out session the first time. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays we start at 19.45, on Tuesdays and Wednesday we also run a session from 18.15. On these days, we run in 4 different ability levels. Each level has its own trainer. If you’d like to join, turn up in sports clothes and running shoes and just join in! There are many other undutchables, and the trainers or others will help you to translate to English if necessary. As a rule, if there are two or more English speakers in the group, the session will be translated for ease of understanding. In summertime we train on the above weekdays in the Amsterdamse Bos, and start from the 'bezoekerscentrum' (visitors centre) at the main entrance.

We won't dwell on the benefits of running, you knew that already or you wouldn’t be reading this. But we will tell you that Running Holland trainers are the best in the city and all provide a high level of training to runners of all levels. We offer you a wealth of experience in teaching running and in running itself. We also place a big emphasis on the fun and social side of running. It’s not important to achieve in races, but it is important that runners keep running. The trainers of Running Holland teach you how to enjoy your running to the max and how best to prevent the runners nightmare - an injury.
The courses we offer during the year:
from April onwards : Amsterdam and New York City Marathon (Autumn marathons)
from June onwards : Dam tot Damloop (September)

If you want to be informed in English about our services, please do not hesitate to contact us. We can send specific information to you in English. We can also arrange to visit you for a private training session.
As well as courses for experienced runners, we cater for beginners.
Running with running holland
Holland is a counrty particularly suited to running. This could be because of the flat landscape or because of the healthy benefits running brings or maybe because running is an intensive sport which doesn't take too much time in order to satisfy body and mind.
We like racing with 20.000 others on a Sunday afternoon. The Dutchman Cees Lansbergen (Le Champion) made an analysis of the company competition. Thousands of company teams want to compete to get the name 'best running company' from Holland.
The 'Dam tot Damloop' (Amsterdam - Zaandam), the 'Egmond Halve Marathon' (beach and dunes of Holland), the '7 heuvelenloop' (7 hills, Nijmegen) and the marathons of Amsterdam and Rotterdam are a few example in which literally thousands of kids, adults, company employees and people in wheelchairs compete against each other. In total more than 2,5 million Dutch regularly run. That is around 15% of the total population.
Challenge other companies and show the Netherlands that you are a healthy, competitive and sporty company!!

Beside the Vondelpark in wintertime, and the Amsterdamse Bos in summertime we train in the Olympic Stadium, the Westerpark, IJburg and Oosterpark. All trainers of Running Holland speak both Dutch and English.
